Nostalgia

www.dearphotograph.com is a website that encourages viewer interaction. People use old images of themselves or relatives and rephotograph the image in the original environment. A short note accompanying the new image is then written and uploaded. The text below was written about the image illustrated here. Sometimes sad, sometimes beautiful, always touching.

Dear Photograph,
My parents divorced when I was 9 years old. I have no memory of them ever being happy together.

been here, experienced that.

After reading through this blog, I am thankful that these posts relate to previous clients not current ones. Nothing on this website surprises me, except perhaps this directive:  ”I want you to go to Google images and search for “male ice skating coach yelling at young female ice skaters crying”. Please make sure the ice skating coach doesn’t look too masculine. But not too gay either. I don’t want this to look stupid.” www.clientsfromhell.net
